The city has implemented online application and renewal of dog licenses. Now there truly is no excuse in keeping your dog fully licensed and ‘legit’ in the eyes of New York City. I know for some folks it’s the easiest thing to ignore, but the way I see it, it’s just a few bucks, it’s painless to process (esp. now that you can do it online!), it’s one more method of tracking your dog if it escapes from you, it avoids getting fined should you and your dog ever fall under the eyes of the law, and your money does go to help NYC’s various programs. For those of you that want to print out the form and mail it in, you can still do that of course - or just call 311 and have them mail you the form.
License your dog, it’s so easy!

Volunteers needed!
October 6th, 2008 · 1 Comment
As you can imagine with the Halloween Costume Contest announcement, the only way to make such an event happen is with the contributions of time, labor, and love from fellow dog run visitors who want to see that the run is used to its fullest.
To that end, we’re looking for volunteers who are eager and willing to help us with tasks as we expand and revitalize our mission. We’re looking to build a solid group of folks that can be relied on to help with all aspects of the dog run. If you are a frequent visitor to the run and want to help out, we want you! If you have experience in legal, veterinary, financial, marketing, public relations, etc., we would love to tap your skills as we face new challenges down the road. If you just want to lend your opinion, time, and muscle to the cause, please let us know who you are!
You can reply here or better yet, email us at info@littlebaydogrun.com and get on board, now!

Halloween Contest 2007
November 5th, 2007 · No Comments
On October 28, 2007, we held the second annual Halloween Costume contest for our four-legged friends. It was great success.
There were two categories, Large dog and Small dog. Judging was tough, as all the contestants looked absolutely spiffy in their Halloween duds, but at the end we had our two winners. For Large dog, the winner was Sammy, but relinquished the title since his owner is one of our very generous volunteers, Lorraine! Thanks Lorraine! The winner is now Teddy, with his Devil costume. The Small dog winner is Bambi, with her Rooster costume. Congratulations!
We also raffled off two items. One was a large basket of dog toys and treats. The lucky winners were Diana and Kevin Keavery. The second was a training session with our very own Frank Cahill, Scott Bucher’s Bailey is the lucky recipient of that prize.
